Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic has reportedly told the club that he wants to move to Manchester United after a meeting with the club on Wednesday.
There are reports that the deal could be closed this week but Inter Milan are holding off for money as the 38 million pounds offer from United falls short of their valuation.
Perisic has resumed for preseason training with Inter Milan but Manchester United are currently trying to finalize the deal before the Italian club leaves for China.
Periodic still has 3 years left on his contract so Inter Milan are in no hurry to sell the Croatian winger.
He is still our player until…
He is scheduled to meet with Inter Milan manager Lucas Spalletti later this week and the manager revealed that the winger has not revealed to him that he wants to leave and would only make a decision once he gets feedback from Perisic.
“I hope he will remain with the team because he is part of my plans in the long run. I will have a chat with him and we will see where that takes us in the long run. But for now he is an Inter Milan player and that’s all we need to focus on.”
Perisic moved to Italy in 2015 from Wolfsburg and has scored 18 goals in just 70 Seria A games for the club. He has scored 16 goals for Croatia in 57 appearances.
He will be Manchester United’s third high-profile signing if the deal goes through and will link up the rest of the team in the Unied States for their preseason tour.
