Manchester City hierarchy has revealed that the club is not currently chasing a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund.
It was earlier reported that a deal for Aubameyang was being prepared for the striker. But the latest report from the club has debunked this claim. As the club have also cooled off their interest in Leonardo Bonucci, Aymeric Laporte and Hector Bellerin from Arsenal.
Manchester City has been the most active club in the English top flight this season as they have signed up Bernardo Silvia and Ederson from Monaco and Benfica respectively. The club is also looking to secure the services of four defenders before the close of the transfer window.
A deal for Juventus’s Dani Alves is being prepared and the club is also looking to secure the services of Kyle Walker from Tottenham and Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy and Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand.
Waiting on Alexis Sanchez
It is believed that Alexis Sanchez is the club’s top target this season but they might have to wait until the final day of the transfer window to close a deal for Arsenal player of the year.
This deal is highly dependent on Alexis Sanchez who will have to inform Arsenal that he intends to leave. This will force the club into selling him this season so they won’t lose him for free in 12 month’s time.
Mbappe on the Radar
Manchester City has also indicated interest in signing Kylian Mbappe from Monaco and are willing to take a world record bid for the striker if Monaco decides to sell their star player.
However, there is a slim chance that they might miss out on Mbappe as he is also on the radar of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United.
