A kind of advantage of sorts is being had by OnePlus 3T, and OnePlus 3 over the other counterparts it has as the new Android 8.0 has been slated to be installed in the 2016 smartphone by OxygenOS 5.0.
It has been officially decided, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will be having Android 8.0 Oreo which has been highly anticipated, the incremental rollout of OxygenOS 5.0 being the channel.
Interestingly, the developments imply that the smartphones that were made in 2016 will be getting smart updates ahead of the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T which were made more recently.
Android Oreo arrives in the OnePlus 3 and 3T
OnePlus had promised back in June that Android Oreo 8.0 would come in the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T and now it appears that they are fulfilling their word.
In one of the posts on the forums of OnePlus, the company mentioned what the OxygenOS would be offering. Beyond the usuals that come with the Oreo, more parallel applications, picture in picture, automatic fill-in and smart text selection would be incorporated into the mix.
A new design also would be introduced for the Quick Settings tool, along with this, the security patch for September would be coming along.
As this goes on, the launcher would be undergoing some degree of upgrades and improvements. Some of which would see the introduction of dots for notification, a new design for the app folder. Users will now have a direct access to Shot on OnePlus to upload their photos.
As earlier stated, the update is of the incremental kind. This suggests that it is not going to land on every side of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, but it is projected to get through to users in a couple of days.
