US President Trump’s feud with rapper Snoop Dogg has gotten worse and worse as other celebrities have begun to join in and voice their own opinion.
The latest celeb to support the rapper is his younger protégé Shad Moss, also known as Bow Wow, who is seen by many to have crosses a line bringing up the First Lady Melania Trump.
The rapper-actor was confronted with massive criticism on social media after making an inappropriate remark towards Trump regarding Melania in the tweet he posted on the popular site. Responding to the president’s comments on Snoop’s alleged “failing career” on Twitter, Bow Wow appeared to have taken things to a whole new level, threatening to “pimp” out the nation’s first lady.
“Ayo @realDonaldTrump shut your punk ass up talking s**t about my uncle @SnoopDogg before we pimp your wife and make her work for us,” tweeted the 30-year-old, offending everyone including non-supporters.
The vicious war on Twitter started when Snoop released his most recent music video from his new song Lavender featuring controversial scenes. In the footage from the video, Snoop reportedly took a dig at the US president by staging a fake execution of a clown he named “Ronald Krump”, shooting him with a pretend gun.
Snoop hasn’t been shy about his thoughts regarding the president after he criticized Trump’s controversial travel ban along with other policies in his interview with Billboard.
The remarks did not seem to go well with President Trump, who immediately fired back on Twitter. Last Wednesday, Trump posted to his page: “Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!”
Since then, many politicians as well as celebrities gathered support for either side. Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio spoke out condemning the video, with rappers like Treach and Ice-T emphasizing the “artistic” characteristics of Snoop.
“Trump brings a lot of these jokes on to himself. He’s just such a character, and he acts like a clown,” said Ice-T said in his defence.
