Pop star George Michael’s heartbroken dog Abby has been seen sniffing floral tributes left for her owner. Abby was taken for a walk past the home in north London that she shared with the megastar.
Fans, who have turned the area outside his home into a shrine, patted her to give her some comfort as she stopped. She is now being cared for by one of George’s close relatives. Dog lover George got Abby when she was a puppy as well as another dog called Meg while he was with his ex boyfriend Kenny Goss. It is understood that Meg, who was also a Golden Labrador, passed away a year ago.
Proud pet owner
George was often seen out and about with the dogs, and was a supporter of animal welfare charities. While he was very private, he often posted images and video of his pets and spoke about how difficult he found it to be apart from them when he was working.
The tragic popstar died on Christmas Day at his home in Oxfordshire at the age of just 53. His current boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, who he had been with since 2011 found him in bed when he went to wake him up for a planned Christmas lunch. Currently detectives are looking into whether drugs could have played a part in his death. They have already interviewed Fadi as they wanted to speak to him while what happened was still fresh in his mind.
